Kapalua Bay

Wailea Golf

Wailea Gold Course

The Wailea Gold Course is the most challenging of Wailea's trio. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr., it has been ranked among the country's best new courses by Golf Magazine and Golf Digest, and one of the world's best designed by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler. Jones flavored the Gold with elements of classic golf course design, then finished it with a rugged, natural look. Throughout the course are stark lava rock outcroppings, indigenous Hawaiian grasses, an abundance of kiawe (a relative of mesquite), and remnants of papohaku, prehistoric lava rock walls built by early Hawaiians and preserved for their historic value. The Gold's 200 foot elevation change from top to bottom enhances the numerous ocean and mountain vistas available from virtually every hole. The course has been labeled a "thinking player's" course because it demands strategy and careful club selection to be played well.

Wailea Emerald Course

Rated one of the best new courses by Golf Magazine and Golf Digest, as well as one of North America's most women-friendly by Golf for Women, the Wailea Emerald is akin to a lush tropical playground. Flowers bloom in great abundance: plumeria, bird of paradise, allamanda, gazenia, bougainvillea, beach morning glory, "firecracker" plants and more.

But don't be fooled by the Emerald's pleasant appearance. It is a superbly designed course created for pure golf enjoyment, regardless of one's handicap. Measuring 6,825 yards from the back, the Emerald features four to six tee boxes on every hole, allowing players to tailor the course to their playing level.

Notable features include a large double green shared by holes #10 and #17. Fronting the green is the only lake on the course. This is perhaps one of the Emerald's more picturesque spots.

Rainforest/Waterfall Hike – Full or Half day

Experience the ultimate rainforest wonderland. Enjoy Maui's hidden waterfalls on the edge of steaming rainforests filled with tropical flora – a magical playground of beauty and adventure. Maui's ultimate waterfall wonderland is the pristine Kipahulu Valley, a half-hour drive from the very Hawaiian town of Hana.

Travel & Leisure Magazine says... "The hike will be challenging, the views astounding, the experience unique. Long after you've forgotten what you bought while shopping on Maui, or where you ate, the feelings you experienced on this hike will live on and on.

Half-Day Rainforest Hike
(5 hours, including travel time)

We start our hike in a lush botanical garden. It is manicured nature with an abundance of palms, tropical trees and flowering plants. It is beautifully designed and has several elevated areas with lookouts to view waterfalls and a vast expanse of ocean.

From the garden, we then descend into true wilderness…down 250 feet on a private switchback trail. At the trail’s end we hike up a stream to 30 and 40-foot waterfalls with beautiful pools – a perfect spot for lunch and a swim!

Full-Day Rainforest Hike
(11 hours, including travel time)

We hike along a national park trail that follows one of the most magnificent streams on Maui, a network of pools and cascading waterfalls. To reach a secluded 40-foot waterfall, we swim through four clear pools inside a canyon dripping with ferns and hanging vines (swimming is optional).

After lunch at the top of a 200-foot falls, we wind through dark forests of 60-foot bamboo that lead to a 400-foot waterfall. Probably the best day of your vacation.

Surfing Lesson

You’ll be up and surfing in one easy lesson - Guaranteed!
Our introductory lesson focuses on giving the beginner surfer an easy approach that is based on safety, fundamentals and ocean-awareness. Our approach is based on easily learned instructions for paddling, navigating the surf zone, timing and catching waves, four fundamental surf stances, board maneuvering, stopping, and even wiping out. We will provide patient professional instruction, excellent equipment, and the best waves possible for learning. Upon graduation, students are awarded a Beginner Surfer Diploma. We keep it low pressure, safe and fun!

Beginner group lessons are available to virtually everyone, and there are very few limitations when considering the age, weight, height, or swimming ability of the potential surfing student. Prior ocean experience is not necessary. Group class sizes will range between 1 to 5 students per instructor, guaranteed!

Learn From the Experts!
One of the most important aspects of learning how to surf is of course, access to the most ideal surfing locations for learning. Maui's coastline offers beginner surfers some of the most beautiful warm water surfing conditions in the world. The primary surf break where we teach is today known as the Breakwall, and is about as perfect as it gets for learning to surf. This sacred royal surfing location is positioned oceanside of the Lahaina Harbor and is a reknowned surfing playground of the Ancient Hawaiians. We feel exceptionally appreciative, honored, and privileged to be able to perpetuate the Hawaiian Sport of Kings on this beautiful piece of the planet.
